Do I have to pay sales tax?
We are required to collect sales tax in the states where our partner, Digital River, has a business presence. If your order is being shipped to one of these states, it will include sales tax. Any sales tax to be charged will be indicated once your billing and shipping addresses have been entered during checkout.
If you are tax-exempt entity, you can select it on the Billing page during the order process and upload your valid tax exemption certificate. When your tax exemption certification has been validated, sales tax will be removed from your order. In the event that your order does not qualify for tax exemption, we will not be able to remove applicable tax from the order.
I am tax exempt. How do I get a refund on tax I was charged?
Tax-exempt individuals and entities in the United States can request a refund of the tax paid on an order. We will need a copy of your tax-exempt certificate and the billing or shipping address on the order must match the address on the certificate. How do I claim tax exempt status on the web site?
During the purchase process, create or login to your account, ensure your Company Name is entered for your billing information and select tax exemption. You'll be asked to upload your valid tax exemption certificate on the Billing page. Please ensure the vendor or seller name on your form references our partner, “Digital River”. When your Tax Exemption number has been validated, if applicable, your tax will be automatically updated to zero. Once validated, you’ll be able to order tax exempt and your form will be saved to your account, so you won't need to submit the form again. In the event that your order does not qualify for tax exemption, we will not be able to remove tax from the order.
