You don't need a new computer – just the Crucial BX300 SSD

Ever wonder why your phone works as soon as you push a button, yet your computer takes forever? The reason is simple: Your phone runs on flash memory technology, while your computer runs on an outdated hard drive. It's possible – in fact, it's easy – to get the same near-instant speed you expect from your phone out of your computer. Upgrading to the Crucial BX300 SSD is perhaps the easiest way to get all the speed of a new computer without the price. When we say it's easy, here's what we mean.

    Easy speed
Fix your slow computer and feel good about using it again! Load apps and save files immediately with the Crucial BX300, which accesses data over 300% faster than a hard drive.1 That's how you get the immediate responsiveness you expect. Changing your storage drive is the proven way to speed up startup times – making your computer start almost as soon as you press the power button and improving almost every aspect of computer performance.

    Easy efficiency
Run your computer cooler, quieter, and faster with 45x the energy efficiency of a typical hard drive – and extend your laptop's battery life.2 Reducing system temperatures also helps lengthen the life of your computer and the components within it, which is an inherent advantage of SSD technology. Since SSDs don't use small mechanical parts that are prone to failure like you'll find in hard drives, they're an easy way to improve the health and efficiency of your computer.

    Easy installation
Opening your computer and updating your storage drive can seem complicated and intimidating if you've never done it before, but our straightforward, easy-to-follow instructions and videos make it so anyone can install an SSD! Millions of people worldwide have chosen a Crucial SSD – it really is easy.

Easy decision: Replace your hard drive
Booting up, loading things, and transferring and saving files aren't complicated actions, but a slow and outdated hard drive makes them take forever. SSDs use new flash storage technology to make your computer work almost instantly. You don't need a new computer – just the Crucial BX300 SSD.

Micron® quality – a higher level of reliability.
As a brand of Micron, one of the largest flash storage manufacturers in the world, the Crucial BX300 is backed by the same quality and innovation that has produced some of the world's most advanced memory and storage technologies. Protect your photos, videos, and irreplaceable files from catastrophic hard drive crashes by storing them on inherently more durable Micron® 3D MLC NAND. With extensive prerelease validation testing and hundreds of SSD qualification tests, the Crucial BX300 has been thoroughly tried, tested, and proven. You'll notice the difference.

A few months back needed to replace a keyboard in my parents Asus laptop (can't rememeber model, but think i3..circa 4-5 years old?). Decided while I had the thing cracked open to upgrade it.

I installed Ubuntu 16.04 LTS on the Crucial 120GB BX300 SSD as OS only, and used the old mechanical drive mounted as /Home.

Also decided to scrap the DVD drive, purchased a laptop drive caddy to use the old mechanical drive in..so no big gaping hole on the laptop side...fit great. Everything installed and worked like a charm.

From push of power to usable desktop in less then 20 seconds!!!!

Was so impressed thinking about getting one for my aging desktop!

I got this to help speed up my dell inspiron 3531. It was already maxed out on ram. 4 gigs.
It needed help and this worked. It not only boots way faster, but it runs virus scans a lot faster. As well as opening pages faster. I just wish i would have gotten the 240 or 275 gig ssd. After I cloned the 120 gig drive it only had 101 gb of total space. I have a 500 gb external hd that i keep all my pics on, so i still have 40gb or so of free space on the ssd.

My notebook, an small Asus 202E, was not fast, actually pretty darn slow. I purchased the new SSD hard drive and the difference was night and day. Instructions for replacing the hard drive were complete and easy to follow. Very pleased with my purchase.

This SDD replaced the HDD on an old IBM (Lenovo) Thinkpad X60. Boot time greatly reduced, battery time greatly increased. Easy-peasy physical install. I did a clean install of Windows 7-32 bit, which is time consuming, but hey, I'm retired. Very satisfied with results.

This was my first time updating a hard drive in a laptop and it could not have been any easier. My actual time working on it was about 15min. With hardly any effort my computer is 5x faster than before. Only thing I wished I would have done was get a bigger hard drive.....
