Very easy to install. I just looked up a tutorial on Youtube and it was a matter of unscrewing the back cover, spreading the clasp so the memory popped out and the inserting the new memory. I have a mid 2010 MacBook Pro 15" and so far so good!

Crucial is a top quality source for good, reliable, safe products. Random-Access Memory (RAM) requires particular care when purchasing. Not all sources are equal or reputable. Crucial is the only company I trust when it comes to purchasing RAM. Buy with confidence.

              Great upgrade for my MBP

              By Lynnster

              Verified Buyer

I have a mid-2010 MacBook Pro that had just 4 GB RAM, so this was a perfect upgrade as I now have maxed my MBP to 8GB. Thankfully, I have an older version that can be opened for this upgrade. Simple to do for this 61 yr old non-tech grandma! Did it all by myself after googling directions. My computer-building son asked if I bought "Crutial" and was impressed that I chose the best!

Just like computer memory should be. No problems here. Being on a base in Japan, I was provided with a convenient shipping option, and the wait was decent. The only thing I would have hoped for is: For APO/FPO addresses, provide a USPS option for faster shipping speeds if possible. Thanks!

I have a 3-year-old Mac. The 2 4GB RAM replacements allows me to connect and work faster without replacing my 15" $3,000+ computer. Installation was so, so easy - screws and fit into slot, re-screw, done. I'm so glad that Apple recommended this inexpensive upgrade. Frankly, I'm surprised that they did, but I'm glad. Works so much faster!
