Crucial MX300 datasheet
Increase the speed, durability, and efficiency of your system for years to come with the Crucial MX300 SSD. Boot up in seconds and fly through the most demanding applications with an SSD that fuses the latest 3D NAND flash technology with the proven success of previous MX-series SSDs. Your storage drive isn't just a container, it's the engine that loads and saves everything you do and use. Get more out of your computer by boosting nearly every aspect of performance.
Instantly improve system performance
The Crucial MX300 reaches read speeds up to 530 MB/s and write speeds up to 510 MB/s1 on all file types so you can boot up almost instantly, reduce load times, and accelerate demanding applications with ease. Plus, our Dynamic Write Acceleration technology uses an adaptable pool of high-speed, single-level cell flash memory to generate blistering speeds throughout the drive's long life.
Over 90x more energy efficient than a typical hard drive2
Extreme Energy Efficiency technology within the Crucial MX300 reduces the amount of active power usage that's consumed by the drive. The Crucial MX300 extends your laptop's battery life by using only 0.075W of power, compared to a typical hard drive which uses 6.8W.
Entrust your files to a drive that lasts
With an endurance rating of up to 400TB total bytes written, the Crucial MX300 is engineered with Micron 3D NAND to deliver years of fast performance. The 3D NAND leverages larger NAND cells to improve performance and prolong endurance.
Keep your system cool
In addition to lower active power usage, Adaptive Thermal Protection technology dynamically adjusts storage component activity. This helps keep your system cool and minimizes the risk of damage caused by overheating.
Boost drive performance by up to 10x with Crucial Storage Executive3

Micron quality — a higher level of reliability.
As a brand of Micron, one of the largest flash storage manufacturers in the world, the Crucial MX300 is backed by the same quality and innovation that has produced some of the world's most advanced memory and storage technologies. With over a thousand hours of prerelease validation testing and hundreds of SSD qualification tests, the Crucial MX300 has been thoroughly tried, tested, and proven. You'll notice the difference.
1Based on the published specs of the 525GB model. Speeds based on internal testing. Actual performance may vary.
2Active average power use comparison based on published specs of the 750GB Crucial MX300 SSD and the 1TB Western Digital® Caviar Blue™ WD10EZEX internal hard drive, which, as of January 2016, is one of the industry’s top-selling internal hard drives. All other capacities of the Crucial MX300 SSD have comparable active average power consumption specs, with the exception of the 2050GB version of the drive, which consumes 0.15W.

Purchased this to replace the 480GB SSD that was running low on space. Even with having the 480GB SSD installed for only 2 years the speed difference between the 480GB and 1TB SSD is noticeable. The new 1TB SSD knocked 1 second off the W10 boot up time (15 seconds). This new SSD will keep my 5 year old netbook in the game for a few more years.

OK, first I have to say it was totally my fault to purchase the wrong SSD, our IT requires non-encrypted drives and uses software encryption so in the end I bought the wrong drive. With that said... first this drive does not allow you to disable the hardware encryption (there are some out there that do) and second, when I tried to install it following the instructions for the software to create the image of my hard drive onto the SSD drive, after the reboot it DESTROYED my hard drive data. Not bootable, no partition, gone. Our IT department was able to get the data off but the system had to be totally re-imaged from scratch.

I have used Crucial RAM and SSD hard disk upgrades to improve performance and extend the life of several of my laptop and tower computers. All products I have purchased from Crucial have worked flawlessly. The included Acronis software for each SSD has made disk duplication a breeze.
In my desktop Dell computer. It has greatly increased my boot and overall speed
The cloning software included was handy, cloned my old drive and resized the partition to fit the larger drive!
Purchased and installed this drive earlier this week. Installation was easy, as was setup. Moved data from the old drive to this one, reassigned drive letters and everything works as it should. Computer is quieter and backups are faster.
I needed to replace a HHD in a used HP work station. The old drive was to small an could not be formatted. The new drive was easy to install . The process was tool less and literally a snap took about two minuets. Up and running in 5 minuets. I will do it again on other computers.
I read many reviews abt Crucial and them being neck and neck with Samsung... I decided to give them a try... 1st in my dad's laptop to replace his Hdd... then after seeing tue speed me and my brother bought 1 for my mother's AIO pc.. she can't believe the speed increase on her budget system! So finally see if 2 very successful cases with Crucial I bought this 1tb version for my older Alienware 14 laptop to replace it's slow hdd! I'm more then impressed with the quality... speed.. and price! Customer service is amazingly friendly and helpful! Will be using Crucial for all projects and upgrades going forward!!
I bought this for a T470 laptop and then when I opened found that it has a m-key based NVMe and I could not use this disk to copy as I dont have the SATA connectors.
So I repurporsed this and replaced my son's mac mini the main disk and now mac mini late 2011 is having this disk and it works very well and Mac Mini is very fast !
Bought 1TB ssd to replace 1TB hd == for my HP laptop -- device was correct and works flawlessly. Installation had 2 issues -- taking apart laptop (not a crucial issue but was tricky) -- getting ACRONIS cloning software to work -- had to call crucial twice -- run of software form initial instructions -- failed, called crucial and they sent instruction sheet two -- which also failed -- called crucial and they sent instruction sheet 3 which did work -- my suggestion provide all instruction sheets up from or on line.
3 year old (Dell) Alien Aurora R4, amazing computer.
The original HD started running 100% (Task Manager!) a lot of the time with system slow down.
Signs of pending failure.
Replaced with Crucial 1 TB SSD.
More than doubled the speed of the computer........ noticeably faster than new on everything I do.
Boot times close to 40 seconds.
Task Manager now showing HD running under 2% most of the time. Even moments of high use return below 2% in seconds.
Work well with my Mid-2010 MacBook Pro 15" i7. Replaced the old drive, installed the Crucial SSD drive, formatted it, used Time Machine to restore the drive. I did not need to use the adaptor for fit into my MacBook Pro. The Crucial drive works perfectly with the my MacBook Pro and boot rate is improved significantly. (I don't have device to measure the actual improvement but do see the difference.) This SSD drive give the old MacBook Pro a new life. I have installed in for about two months. No problem so far. I would strongly recommend this drive for anyone who would like to bring a new life to an old computer.
