This 32GB RAM upgrade for my Late 2015 iMac (5K, 27 inch, 4GHz Intel Core i7) installed easily, shows up in my System Report at the rated 1867 MHz, and my iMac is running even more snappily than it did with the original Apple-installed 8GB. Crucial customer service was helpful in that they gladly accepted back the memory I had first requested and received and exchanged it for the correct memory, since II had first ordered my iMac as the Mid 2015 27", and two days later Apple announced the Late 2015 model. I changed my Apple order, and found out later that the memory (which I had already ordered from Crucial based upon the older model) had also changed. They made the process painless, and again, the RAM works great.

This RAM causes my late 2015 imac to crash AND it the system recognizes it as 1333Mhz. When I called Crucial, they basically told me I was out of luck and that I should just put up with it cause there isn't much of a difference anyhow. I'll try calling again to get someone who might actually help.. but really disappointed in Crucial this time.

Received the memory for my iMAC very quickly and installed it in less than 5 minutes. The staff helped me find the right upgrade and provided easy how to install instructions.
This RAM is not compatible with Mac OEM equipment. It's a known issue to Crucial, but they were unwilling to back their product, and continue to advertise that it is compatible. FALSE statements on web--this is NOT compatible with Mac hardware. Support told me that it is a KNOWN ISSUE, but that they would not accept the return, or offer a solution other than to buy more of their RAM! Since it was installed, I've had random shutdowns and restarts--unpredictable, unstable system. DO NOT BUY.
I ordered Crucial's 16GB Kit (2 x 8GB) DDR3L-1866 SODIMM Memory for my iMac. My order was shipped immediately and delivered quicker than I expected. This is the third time I've ordered products from Crucial and I will continue to do so. I am very satisfied with their products and customer service.
Installed in iMac 5K retina display
I added these 2 gig sticks to the 2 4 gigs already in the mac and it worked fine.
I searched long and hard for the right brand of RAM for my new Mac and decided to go with Crucial. I bought two 2-packs of 8GB to max out the slots in my computer and haven't had any issues yet. I'm not the type to abuse things so I don't anticipate any but only time will tell.
Customer service was superlative.
Easy to install. (Stuff like this is usually scary for me.)
When I got back screwed back on...my computer worked like a dream.
So far everything is great. Was able to totally upgrade my computer myself. Close to a miracle.
1867 is currently so new nobody locally carries it and Apple doesn't sell it directly (you have to order it installed when you buy the machine). I just bought the 16 Gb kit for my iMac and received it the other day and popped those 2 bad boys into my 5K iMac. Voila! I now have 24 Gb iMac! My iMac now runs Maya as it should (stable) and I can render any size image without it choking and crashing. Also, the general performance is much more snappy and reliable.
Works perfectly. Wanted best performance and compatibility on my new iMac 27" i5 5K Retina, so I installed 4 of these and replaced the two 4G that came with the system.
When compared to Apple pricing, 1/4 of the cost of 32GB from Apple with new system purchase.
Ran memory hardware diagnostics and informal 'bench test'. Memory clocks out at the Apple spec of 1867mhz.
Recently bought a late 2015 i5, 8 gb ram, fusion 2 gb, with Radeon 395 iMac 27". Living in Boise the name Micron has been common place for the better part of 20 years. I ordered the product, it literally arrived a day later (benefit of living so close to the shipping location). I was concerned at first, after reading reviews that perhaps I would be let down by this RAM.
The installation was a breeze with the MAC setup, though I wasn't certain at first that the RAM had been fully seated. After loading the Mac back up I found "Dr. Clean" app was showing far less system memory utilization. I went to "About my Mac" to ensure that it was show all sticks, as well as the correct bus speed of 1867 MHz; sure enough there it was.
I have also run some benchmarks through well known, standard Mac benchmarking software and found that the Crucial ram was actually operating at a higher speed than the OEM apple. Thus far everything has been peppy, responsive, and reliable. Stress test under major commercial photo editing software blazed through anything I threw at it. As a whole I am delighted with the purchase and the money saved. Well done Crucial on providing a great product at a very reasonable price.
