Prep and instillation took about 15 mins. I did my work in the kitchen to avoid Static issues. I had place-mats on the counter to protect the screen. I then took the cover off and cleaned the lint from the area. I carefully removed the memory from the plastic which was super easy. I hate electronics that you have to cut plastic to get the parts. Big Props to Crucial for making the memory easy to get too.
The hard part for me was getting the memory in. I tried a few times, and I made sure to watch the videos but still couldn't get it in. I then was able to get the memory in by first pushing the left part in and then the right part of the memory.
I booted up the Imac and it recognized the memory right away. I can't believe how fast it is now
For less than $50.00 I have a new computer :)
Product worked well and the video of the installation was very helpful since had never installed memory before.
As usual, the Crucial selector found the exact right memory for my aging 2011 iMac with only 4G stock. Plug in an extra 4G, and voila, works like new again on El Capitan.
Works just as I expected. My OS Sierra upgrade slowed the 2011 iMac down, and the extra RAM from Crucial brought the speed back to what I'm used to.
good prices- fast shipping
Purchase was accurate, on time shipping and the easiest install ever.
Product is worth the cost.
Great service quick delivery
Had no difficulty. It was a breeze.
mid 2011 iMac 27 inch - added 4GB - works great and iMac runs much better with it
I wanted to add memory to my iMac and went to Crucial and of course received a prompt, reasonable and dependable solution. The directions and tools worked and I am a happy camper.
