    Instant performance that lasts.

Increase the speed, durability, and efficiency of your system for years to come with the Crucial MX300 SSD. Boot up in seconds and fly through the most demanding applications with an SSD that fuses the latest 3D NAND flash technology with the proven success of previous MX-series SSDs. Your storage drive isn't just a container, it's the engine that loads and saves everything you do and use. Get more out of your computer by boosting nearly every aspect of performance.

    Instantly improve system performance
The Crucial MX300 reaches read speeds up to 530 MB/s and write speeds up to 510 MB/s1 on all file types so you can boot up almost instantly, reduce load times, and accelerate demanding applications with ease. Plus, our Dynamic Write Acceleration technology uses an adaptable pool of high-speed, single-level cell flash memory to generate blistering speeds throughout the drive's long life.

Over 90x more energy efficient than a typical hard drive2
Extreme Energy Efficiency technology within the Crucial MX300 reduces the amount of active power usage that's consumed by the drive. The Crucial MX300 extends your laptop's battery life by using only 0.075W of power, compared to a typical hard drive which uses 6.8W.

Entrust your files to a drive that lasts
With an endurance rating of up to 400TB total bytes written, the Crucial MX300 is engineered with Micron 3D NAND to deliver years of fast performance. The 3D NAND leverages larger NAND cells to improve performance and prolong endurance.

    Keep your system cool
In addition to lower active power usage, Adaptive Thermal Protection technology dynamically adjusts storage component activity. This helps keep your system cool and minimizes the risk of damage caused by overheating.

Boost drive performance by up to 10x with Crucial Storage Executive3
This downloadable tool is easy to use and helps monitor and enhance the performance of your Crucial MX300 – update to the latest firmware and enable the Momentum Cache feature in Storage Executive to instantly improve burst performance. Download the latest version at

I have used crucial before for corsair memory in a old Pentium 4 machine and it is still working. I will follow up with a review after Christmas on this 2TB SSD when I will be able to install it as a christmas gift. I will be able to test it at that time. So far so good thank you Crucial you make things easy.

    Critically it is reliable

Tried so MANY Samsung SSD that all would have errors created in them within 3 months. It appears the Samsung SDD drives (2TB pro) could not handle interruptions to handle and would fail the drive. Crucial's 2TB is solid ... running smooth as can be. Rather trade up a touch of performance for reliability this drive provides.

I am surprised that I did not do this sooner. It solved a long standing problem when I switched from Windows 10 to 7 and the laptop did not run correctly. Such a simple fix, cloning a windows seven drive and switching drives. Would have saved me a lot of time and frustration. Just do it!

Incredible upgrade for my MacBook Pro 17 Late 2011 laptop

    By Gil H

Setting up the SSD unit with Apple Disk Manager took a quick call to Crucial tech support. Awesome verbal directions were clear. Very helpful. The initial Time Machine recovery left the machine not accepting my logon password. I performed a 2nd Time Machine recovery, and all logon password(s) worked fine. Once the MacBook Pro was logged on the local SSD apps loaded very quickly. And moving from 750Gb to 2.0Tb storage was really nice. My Office Mac 2011 app refused to accept my original (and legal) license key code, so I ended up having to relicense the app despite hating to do so. Small additional price to pay for the upgrade. A great investment. I wish I had done this long ago, except back then I could only have gotten a 1.0Tb unit. So, worth the wait. Worth the money.

I bought this to replace a laptop hard drive.

It installed easily, bolted right in to where the factory hard drive was.

Speed is outstanding, especially booting the laptop, which now takes a few seconds. It used to take much longer.

This is my second Crucial SSD, I had a 960 GB drive in my old laptop which worked perfectly for years.
