Crucial BX300 datasheet
Ever wonder why your phone works as soon as you push a button, yet your computer takes forever? The reason is simple: Your phone runs on flash memory technology, while your computer runs on an outdated hard drive. It's possible – in fact, it's easy – to get the same near-instant speed you expect from your phone out of your computer. Upgrading to the Crucial BX300 SSD is perhaps the easiest way to get all the speed of a new computer without the price. When we say it's easy, here's what we mean.
Easy speed
Fix your slow computer and feel good about using it again! Load apps and save files immediately with the Crucial BX300, which accesses data over 300% faster than a hard drive.1 That's how you get the immediate responsiveness you expect. Changing your storage drive is the proven way to speed up startup times – making your computer start almost as soon as you press the power button and improving almost every aspect of computer performance.
Easy efficiency
Run your computer cooler, quieter, and faster with 45x the energy efficiency of a typical hard drive – and extend your laptop's battery life.2 Reducing system temperatures also helps lengthen the life of your computer and the components within it, which is an inherent advantage of SSD technology. Since SSDs don't use small mechanical parts that are prone to failure like you'll find in hard drives, they're an easy way to improve the health and efficiency
of your computer.
Easy installation
Opening your computer and updating your storage drive can seem complicated and intimidating if you've never done it before, but our straightforward, easy-to-follow instructions and videos make it so anyone can install an SSD! Millions of people worldwide have chosen a Crucial SSD – it really is easy.
Easy decision: Replace your hard drive
Booting up, loading things, and transferring and saving files aren't complicated actions, but a slow and outdated hard drive makes them take forever. SSDs use new flash storage technology to make your computer work almost instantly. You don't need a new computer – just the Crucial BX300 SSD.
Micron® quality – a higher level of reliability.
As a brand of Micron, one of the largest flash storage manufacturers in the world, the Crucial BX300 is backed by the same quality and innovation that has produced some of the world's most advanced memory and storage technologies. Protect your photos, videos, and irreplaceable files from catastrophic hard drive crashes by storing them on inherently more durable Micron® 3D MLC NAND. With extensive prerelease validation testing and hundreds of SSD qualification tests, the Crucial BX300 has been thoroughly tried, tested, and proven. You'll notice the difference.

I have been saving to upgrade my mid-2012 MacBook Pro. We have our own real estate speed and I was spending a lot of time frustrated at how slow my laptop seemed to be. I was tempted to go ahead an buy the new Mac and got an email from Crucial.com telling about the new SSD BX300. It really got my attention. I had saved more than enough for this plan but was a little skeptical -- mainly about having to be sure I could do it and that if I did I would still have a working OS. :-) I am 56 and this is not what I majored in. I called Customer Support -- always a pleasant experience with the Crucial Team! I told them my concerns and they were so helpful. I placed my order and then the next morning realized I needed to check to see if I needed a cable - yep, SATA to USB -- ordered it. They both arrived over a week earlier than planned. 48 hours later and 2 very easy and helpful calls to Tech Support, mostly to confirm what I thought I needed to do and it is LIGHTNING FAST --- YES, I'm Screaming! I cannot believe it -- Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, Crucial.com for sending that informative email that has made my time on my computer so much more efficient.

I purchased 2 BX300 SSDs to install in my two identical Toshiba Satellite A665 PCs. Both installs went very well and both performed very well. One is still running and one died within 3 days. The failed SSD is totally unrecognized by the PC. Crucial technical support via email was very good and came to the conclusion there was in fact a problem with the SSD. I was told to return the unit. Very good except all my personal data is contain on the SSD. I am reluctant to return a drive that someone with the right skills and tools will probably be able to access the data. This is serious dilemma and there is no resolution other than to trust Crucial with my data, which I am not willing to do. And Crucial is not willing to trust me either. So it is my loss. One should be prepared to accept this situation whether it is a Crucial drive or another manufacturer's drive.

My five prior SSD upgrades utilized Acronis 2015 for cloning with no problems. The current version does not automatically turn off BIOS "secure boot" so no operating system was found after swapping out drives. TURN OFF BIOS SECURE BOOT PRIOR TO CLONING!!
Comments about Crucial BX300 480GB SATA 2.5-inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD:
We upgraded our Asus F555L laptops from origirnal 5200 rpm HDDrives to Crucial SSDrives. The differnce is astounding. Start-up is 1/10 the time it took with the original drives. Large apps that took more than a minute to start now are up and running in under 10 seconds.
Installation and data transfer are a breeze with Crucial's instructions and support. Great value considering performance improvement and relatively small investment compared to replacing with new computers.

Comments about Crucial BX300 480GB SATA 2.5-inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD:
I recently purchased a Dell a Inspiron 17 laptop (7773) with a 2TB Hard drive, but I heard there is an advantage to use a Solid State Hard drive. I checked out the Crucial website and they recommend upgrades for my computer. Purchased a SSD 480GB drive and install was supposed to be easy. I downloaded the recommended software and began the process step by step to install my SSD. I had problems after the downloaded software, as I could get the software to go pass the download and transfer to the new SSD. I took my computer in to a local computer shop and they performed the process for me. All is working fine, just cost me some cash for the help.

I changed the original Disk Drive in my "Old Faithful" Dell Inspiron 1564, whose normal boot time through the years had climbed to around 5 mins! Now with the easily installed Crucial SSD installed, it boots in less than 1 min!

Comments about Crucial BX300 480GB SATA 2.5-inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD:
This SSD was very easy to install and was easy to set up. My hard drive cable was the culprit but I used it as an opportunity to upgrade my hard drive while I was replacing it.

Comments about Crucial BX300 480GB SATA 2.5-inch 7mm (with 9.5mm adapter) Internal SSD:
We have two computers that are about 5 years old. We use one in the living room for Internet TV access and one on my desktop. The slowness of the TV PC was driving us crazy, so, I was contemplating moving my desktop to the TV and purchasing a new one for me. But this all sounded costly. So, I decided an upgrade to the TV PC would be more cost effective. I first upped the TV PC's RAM to max and then added a 240GB BX300. All installed in less that 45 minutes including the cloning. Turned the PC back on and shazam! Not only was it 5 times faster, we could now watch our Netflix without interruption. I was so happy I decided to swap out my desktop with a new 540GB BX300.
If your current PC is of the SATA variety, I recommend you save your $$ and upgrade your memory and swap to an SSD drive for complete happiness!
