Power-conserving WD AV-GP SATA hard drives take advantage of WD’s GreenPower technology to meet the extreme requirements of demanding audio and video environments. With power reduction of up to 40%, they deliver cool and quiet operation and reliability perfect for audio video applications such as PVRs, DVRs, Set-Top Boxes (STBs) as well as surveillance video recording.
Any ideas to stabilize this now? How odd.
I apologize ahead of time, as I am not super techy.

Memory - 4GB kit (2GB x 2) 200-pin SODIMM, part # CT2K2G2S800M
Could you please advise:
1. Does the new SSD require formatting before use? I intend each to have only one partition.
I am running Win7-64 on an ASUS P868-V Pro motherboard.
Thank you for any help you can give.
Regards, Jim H.
Should I defrag both partitions before installing the new SSD, or not bother?
