This was a cheap easy to install solution for my falling MacBook Pro.
Great for my asus g1s. Simple plug and play. I did have a windows 7 disk to reinstall windows which made things very easy. This drive fit in my asus g1s notebook just like the website said it would.
i put the hard drive in my macbook pro.
its a nice looking drive, with good memory.
the hard drive had small irrelevant defects.
took awhile for my computer to get used to it.
I had a 350gb hard drive that got full with pictures, I installed 1TB , easy installation and Im very happy with it
My laptop kept shutting down overnight, and the hard drive was filling up. This hard drive took care of both problems.
Ordered memory and a hard drive. Crucial listed the items I needed making the transaction very easy.
My mid 2007 24" iMac recently died.
I was wondering what options I have with regards to what hard drive/or SSD I should get?
Any help appreciated.
Thank you for contacting us today. Installing the SSD is also fairly straightforward. You can either clone your current data to the SSD or do a fresh install. You will need to find a special bracket to ensure that the SSD fits into your Mac properly.
There is a big advantage to upgrading to an SSD, because you will have no moving parts and you will notice a huge speed increase. The extra speed should future proof your system a bit.
Please let me know if you have any other specific questions about this upgrade.
I am sorry for the issues that you have experienced with your drive. At this point I would recommend contacting us directly so that we can help you with any trouble shooting and any questions you may have. Our contact information is in my signature. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
I bought 2 x MX100 256GB SSD drives.
Both when plugged in fail the SMART 180 attribute on starting the computer.
I have tried them both in 2 different PC's (HP XW4300 and HP Z200), and the error is the same on both computers and on both drives.
I have tried emailing for support with no luck..
Has anyone seen this type of failure before, and do I need to get the drives replaced?
Any assistance or thoughts appreciated.
I had Samsung drives previously and never had any issues at all.
I too am considering this upgrade to SSD. This may seem trivial but try control panel, programs and features, windows features and untick internet explorer then reboot. Upon reboot go and retick the box to reinstall that feature. This has worked for me in the past when ie stopped functioning. Good Luck. Please let us know the results.
