The Barracuda family has earned awards and accolades around the globe. This is because Seagate has demonstrated a commitment to introduce technologies that allow people to work faster, do more, and feel great about making an investment in proven technology. And, for those who want the biggest, high performance drive available, the Barracuda choice is without peer.
I apologise in advance, as I am not tech savvy, so my terminology might appear a bit agricultural. I plan to upgrade my Mac Pro to the latest OS available. I am currently running the most recent it will take (Snow Leopard 10.6.8) I understand installing more memory is straight forward enough but, what about upgrading the Hardrive? Is there any great advantage in replacing my existing HD with an SSD. I understand that this process is a bit more involved and requires tools and additional 'bits' to make the new SSD compatible with my Mac. I don't want to get all technical and have the fastest 'this' and the biggest 'that', I would just like to update my machiine and future proof it a bit. Any advice would be appreciated
Any thoughts or pointers would be hugely welcome.
