The Power of One
Barracuda hard drives give you the Power of One. One hard drive platform for every desktop storage application. One drive with trusted performance, reliability and simplicity and capacity.
Your drive is up to 45% faster than the last generation thanks to Seagate OptiCache™ technology. OptiCache™ technology combines the latest advances in hard drive microprocessors, DRAM and proprietary caching algorithms resulting in great performance improvements for you.
You don’t have worry about the transition to Advanced Format, 4K technology with Seagate SmartAlign™ technology. With SmartAlign™, 4K drives look and act just like legacy 512 byte sector hard drives which makes your adoption of Advanced Format – simple.
You get reliable read/write performance even in tough operating environments with Seagate AcuTrac™ technology. AcuTrac™ represents new advanced hard drive technology that can accurately control reading and writing on these “nano-sized” tracks spinning at 7200 RPM, even in high touch environments, like an all-in-one PC with loud music booming through the speakers.
Green where it counts
Barracuda desktop drives are produced using the most sophisticated manufacturing process in the industry, with a focus on environmental stewardship.
Thank you for contacting us today. Installing the SSD is also fairly straightforward. You can either clone your current data to the SSD or do a fresh install. You will need to find a special bracket to ensure that the SSD fits into your Mac properly.
There is a big advantage to upgrading to an SSD, because you will have no moving parts and you will notice a huge speed increase. The extra speed should future proof your system a bit.
Please let me know if you have any other specific questions about this upgrade.
I am sorry for the issues that you have experienced with your drive. At this point I would recommend contacting us directly so that we can help you with any trouble shooting and any questions you may have. Our contact information is in my signature. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
I bought 2 x MX100 256GB SSD drives.
Both when plugged in fail the SMART 180 attribute on starting the computer.
I have tried them both in 2 different PC's (HP XW4300 and HP Z200), and the error is the same on both computers and on both drives.
I have tried emailing for support with no luck..
Has anyone seen this type of failure before, and do I need to get the drives replaced?
Any assistance or thoughts appreciated.
I had Samsung drives previously and never had any issues at all.
I too am considering this upgrade to SSD. This may seem trivial but try control panel, programs and features, windows features and untick internet explorer then reboot. Upon reboot go and retick the box to reinstall that feature. This has worked for me in the past when ie stopped functioning. Good Luck. Please let us know the results.
