I'd also like to know the micron part numbers for:
I believe that there will be a 16GB (dual-ranked, DDR3) ECC UDIMM released in the future. There's no ETA on this product currently, however. I would expect there will be more demand for this product in the future as 16GB modules become more commonplace. Please let me know if you have any other questions about this type of RAM. I am sorry for the inconvenience.
I have: Crucial Ballistix Tactical Tracer 16GB Kit (8GBx2) DDR3 1600 MT/s (PC3-12800) CL8 @1.5V UDIMM 240-Pin BLT2CP8G3D1608DT2TXRG
Trying to use with GA-Z87N-WIFI
If I use a single stick it works fine (either stick alone is good) if I use both the system won't boot. I thought based on the specs it would be fine - am I wrong or do I have a bad MOBO?
In a previous message I asked if CT2KIT102464BA160B 16gb (8x2) was compatible with my Dell 435t/9000 system which had 9gb RAM at the time. Dell, and the Crucial Scanner, says my system is upgradable to 24 gb of RAM. I was told the above part number was indeed compatible with my system.
I just received the above kit and my system is only recognizing 4gb in each of the two banks where I have the 8gb memory cards installed. My system is only showing 16gb instead of the 23gb it should. If it recognizes only 4gb in each bank I wonder why it shows 16gb instead 15gb?
What is happening? I have the scanner results URL listed below.
Thank you in advance
Update: Bios shows 23,552 Ram Installed, but Windows 7 64bit still shows 16gb installed.
Tried going to msconfig -boot- advanced options- I clicked the maximum memory box and tried to enter in the amount of RAM that was supposed to be there ( 23,552 ) but it wouldn't let me enter in more than (16,384). I'm trying everything I know how, plus rereading past posts. No luck so far...I'm thinking it won't recognize more than 4gb per slot for some reason.
Hi, a few weeks back I bought a second hand laptop (a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-193). The man at the shop told me that it was low on RAM (2gb) and suggested I install more for extra speed.
On a recommendation from my friend I came to crucial.com and had my computer scanned; the result suggested that I had 2 options. I chose the cheaper option 2x1gb Ram cards, however on opening the laptop up I can't find how to fit them; as there only seems to be space for 2 sticks (I already have 2x1gb cards fitted). Can anyone advise me how to fit them please? Thanks.
