I used my computer without any problems for about 6 months. Recently BSOD's have started. I fugure that with one ram stick computer work fine. I've tested both sticks separately in all slots with memtest86+ resulting no errors. Computer works perefctly fine with one stick. When I put both in all slots combinations, single channel, dual channel, nevermind in all caseses memtest86+ shows errors. Errors always shows when memtest is testing 6144M-8192M range. Always only two bits are wrong. Errorbits: 00XX0000 where XX are wrong bits.

I've bought some DDR ram from crucial as an upgrade.
I have the RAM but the problem is I don't know how to install it on this machine.
I've searched the net but can find nowhere of any help, possibly because it's a fairly new all in one unit.
Anyone any ideas?
Thanks for contacting us today. If you do some video editing and photo programs it will be worth it to upgrade your RAM a bit. Your board can go up to 24GB, but it sounds like you wouldn't need that much to improve your user experience. You would not need to replace all of the old RAM in your system, however, your new RAM would slow down to meet the speed of the new RAM. The speed difference would be fairly insignificant. Your system does not run in dual channels, so you do not need to install in pairs. Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns about upgrading your system.
Hi, a few weeks back I bought a second hand laptop (a Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-193). The man at the shop told me that it was low on RAM (2gb) and suggested I install more for extra speed.
On a recommendation from my friend I came to crucial.com and had my computer scanned; the result suggested that I had 2 options. I chose the cheaper option 2x1gb Ram cards, however on opening the laptop up I can't find how to fit them; as there only seems to be space for 2 sticks (I already have 2x1gb cards fitted). Can anyone advise me how to fit them please? Thanks.
