A small outline dual inline memory module (SODIMM) consists of a number of memory components (usually black) that are attached to a printed circuit board (usually green). SODIMMs get their name because they are smaller and thinner than regular DIMMs. The gold pins on the bottom of the SODIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board. The pins on the front and back of a SODIMM are not connected.
200-pin SODIMMs are used to provide DDR and DDR2 SDRAM memory for notebook computers. 200-pin SODIMMs are available in PC2700 DDR SDRAM, PC3200 DDR SDRAM, DDR2 PC2-6400 SDRAM, DDR2 PC2-5300 SDRAM, DDR2 PC2-4200 SDRAM and DDR2 PC2-3200 SDRAM. To use DDR or DDR2 memory, your system motherboard must have 200-pin SODIMM slots and a DDR- or DDR2-enabled chipset. A DDR or DDR2 SODIMM will not fit into a standard SDRAM SODIMM socket. (Information about which memory technology your system uses is included in the Crucial Memory Advisor™ tool.)
The number of black components on a 200-pin SODIMM can vary, but it always has 100 pins on the front and 100 pins on the back, for a total of 200. 200-pin SODIMMs are approximately 2.625 inches long and 1.25 inches high, though the heights can vary. Like 144-pin SODIMMs, 200-pin SODIMMs have one small notch within the row of pins; however, the notch on the 200-pin SODIMMs is closer to the left side of the module.

Q:My computer has 2 slots with 1 GB of RAM each (not Crucial). Can I substitute only one of them with this model? (I know the computer supports up to 3GB). Thank you.
A:Before we can answer this we would require your make and model of system. Please contact your support team with this information below:
Q:Will this work in a Lenovo 3000 N100 0768-DLU? Thanks!
A:That memory is fully compatible with your system and is guaranteed to be compatible.
Q:Will this work on MacBook Pro with 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo? This seems to have all the same specs but the part number is different than what is found for that machine on this site.
A:Yes this part will be fine for your MBP. When you go through the actual system on our website it will show a small part number such as CT687591 but what you actually receive is a techincal part number and if you ordered the 2GB option through the system link you would be sent CT25664AC667.
Q:Will this product work on a iMac (Late 2006)? Model number: MA589LL
A:Yes it will. The total capacity for this system is made up of a 2GB module and a 1GB module. Here is your system link:
Q:Will this product work on a macbook from mid 2007. Model number: MB062LL/A
A:This system can only accept up to 2GB over 2 slots (1GB per slot), therefore a 2GB module would not be compatible. You can find the correct modules at the following link:
Q:Is this product compatible with an Advent 7090 laptop?
A:That 2GB part is the correct type but wrong size. Your laptop can support up to 2GB in total over the 2 slots - 1GB per slot.
Q:will this ram work in dell inspiron 6000
A:Yes it will indeed.
Q:is this product compadible with a dell inspiron 1521?
A:Yes, that memory module is guaranteed to be compatible with the Dell Inspiron 1521
Q:Would this be compatible with an iMac 7,1?
