"While the memory specs are minimal, meaning DDR3-1333 rated with CL6 @ 1.80V, this memory product can easily go up to 916.50MHz, which is 250MHz higher than the default speed. Increasing the memory voltage you will get you additional performance, an interesting feature for overclockers.[…] Concluding this review, we can safely say that the the Crucial BallistiX Tracer PC3-10600, memory modules are great performers and also affordable for almost everyone."

"The retail prices of DDR3 memory have really dropped lately and you get a 2x1GB of DDR3 memory kit that can easily reach 1000MHz with CL8 for just $206. Now if that isn't a true bargain what else would be? We cannot find any issues with the BL2KIT12864BE1808 product, since it delivers what it promises and even more..."

"The ability to clock the sticks up to an admirible 800Mhz with little tweaking bar the voltage was satisfying. […] Benchmarking results from the kit showed that they are not sloppy on the performance front either, with the sticks performing well at the speeds they were capable of."

"This ram kit has proven to be a very reliable performed both under stock and overclocked speeds. It has outperformed its competitors in this review and I can't really find any con so far for this memory kit. In general the DDR3 has dropped and is dropping in price fast which makes it a good choice to gain a bit of performance. It was well packed and we had no heat issues even under our overclocking testing. I feel that this is a good kit and surely will give it our recommended award!"

"Crucial have always had a reputation for memory that works straight out of the box and the Ballistix PC3-12800 kit is certainly no different. Unlike a few of the DDR3 kits we've tested recently the Ballistix was 100% stable at stock speeds without the need to tweak any memory sub-timings or voltages, and I'm pleased to say that we managed to get through the whole review without pulling our hair out once!"
