If I could make a car with this tool, I would. Great enjoyment is to be had with this amazing screwdriver. All I had to do was turn the handle counter-clockwise and PRESTO... the screws were removed, post-haste, allowing access to the SDRAM that was to be swapped out.
Never before have I been so happy with an impulse buy. (It actually got a second look and props from the tech at the local PC fix-it shop that I had to take my laptop to after I FAILED getting my 8GB of RAM seated properly.)

      Too big

As others have pointed out, although you can go through a "pick your system" wizard to get the right RAM, and crucial then recommends this screwdriver, it's useless.

As others have pointed out, although you can go through a "pick your system" wizard to get the right RAM, and crucial then recommends this screwdriver, it's useless.

It arrived, and it's too big to unscrew the screws at the bottom of my MacBook Pro.

(For what its worth, after further research, the size I need is #00 Philips - which I must now go and try to buy somewhere to install the memory sitting on my desk)

It's cheap, and not a huge waste of money, but a huge waste of time. Very disappointed.

I bought it for removing the screws on the back of my Macbook Pro so that I could upgrade the RAM. The phillips head did not fit into the screws.

Ok, I ordered a RAM updgrade and an SSD drive. I saw many a review that stated the screwdriver is perfect or doesn't fit at all. My best guess is that it's all about the computer you have. If you have an older model 2008 MBP, you are all good. It's the non unibody titanium model. However, if you want to do more than upgrade ram, you will need a Torx T6 screwdriver in addition.

I have a MacBook Pro for which I ordered some heftier RAM. From the looks of the write-up, this screwdriver could make its way into it. But alas, it's too big. I like the screwdriver though, and I'm sure it will be useful on other jobs, that's why I gave it 5 stars. Fortunately I had an eyeglass repair kit with an almost useless screwdriver that fit the bill.

I read the reviews of this screwdriver before purchasing and all the macbook pro owners stated that it did not work on their computers but no macbook owners rated it. I could not use it on the screws on my late 2006 macbook. Luckily I had my own set of screwdrivers that worked. I returned for a refund.
