Maximum Memory: 2GB

Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.

Memory or DRAM is the "working" memory of the computer. It's used to store data for programs (sequences of instructions) on a temporary basis.

Storage Drives -- hard drives and solid state drives -- are the permanent memory for the programs and documents on your computer.

Data Transfer Rate is the rate at which data can be sent or received. This is determined by your motherboard. A drive with a higher transfer rate will only run at the rate of the motherboard's transfer rate.

Cache is a type of working memory that allows the drive to perform faster.

RPM is the rotations per minute of a hard drive which effects the speed of data transfer.

Solid State Drives are non-moving memory, so access speed is instant.

I'm happy with the product and I'm happy with how fast it got here. I'm also happy with the cost. The only thing I could have used were directions. I know they're available online, but the directions online were for a PC and not a Mac. Also, I bought new RAM and I didn't know how hard I had to press the units into place, and so I was a little nervous about it. I would have liked to have some kind of heads-up about things like that. Thanks!

I'm not a big computer person but this website was suggested by the "genius" at my retail store. I had to get assistance installing the chips because I did not have the really small screwdrivers needed to get to the memory drive. Other than that installation was easy but I did have to install and reinstall twice before the memory seemed to kick in. Now my comp seems to be moving a little bit faster.

Got the memory very fast. This was the first time I have installed memory into a macbook 13". There are lots of videos on You Tube that describe how, and it was easy. I also upgraded the hard drive at the same time but that's a different review. I recommend this product.

improved my computer dramatically! Didn't realize I was only working off of 512Mb, so 2GB is SO much better. The website is incredibly easy to manage and gave great recommendations!

I know enough about computers to know that I needed RAM but I had no idea how to go about it. Crucial[@] made it easy to pick the right one. My only advice is that when installing, you have to shove it in pretty hard to get it to connect. Once installed, my computer's performance skyrocketed and its been reliable ever since.
