I have a small net book that I practically had to dissassemble completely just to install this stick of RAM. It's not Crucial's fault, but fortunatley, I didn't have to do it twice because it worked as guaranteed. Computer's performance is up a bit. Doesn't struggle as much anymore or lock up. The scan tool selected the RAM, made other suggestions and guarantees compatability. Worth the extra bucks in my opinion.

Comments about Crucial 2GB Upgrade for a Acer Aspire One D255 (Intel Atom N450) DDR2 System:

I was delighted with the site, it made it easy to order the right memory board we needed, it arrived quickly and I was able to track its progress from Idaho and knew when it would arrive. I was concerned about taking apart a netbook to install the memory, as I had not done this before, but the online tutorial videos were excellent and showed me how to do it. It was a bit difficult to get the keyboard off, but otherwise the installation was a breeze. Best of all, after just a few minutes of effort, the Acer booted up with 2GB of memory, which should make a big difference in performance since at 1GB it was clearly memory bound. Thanks for a great customer experience Crucial. I would definitely recommend Crucial as a great source for computer memory.

Great product would recommend, only cons are no instructions were included and I had to tear the computer apart to install the memory ram stick but that's not crucial fault it's the fine you pay for going small!!
