Comments about Crucial 1GB Upgrade for a HP - Compaq Presario SR1303WM System:

This was my first crucial purchase, I was very please when it arrived, it came in a clear plastic package and it had a sexy dark green color. It breathed new life into a legacy system my aunt gave me because it was too slow for even her Facebook games. it was unusable even after a fresh windows xp 32 bit install and deletion of all data on the hard drive. so the only way I could get it to work was to run Lubuntu (Google it) but that was a really lame operating system. so I thought about how my tech was always telling my mom to put more ram in her system and she wouldn't. I knew more ram would increase speed but I didn't realize the difference getting it from crucial would make. instead of spending a half hour shopping and googling my motherboard I used the system scanner and was in and out of the shop in 5 minutes and my order was on its way unfortunately the shipping was excruciatingly slow but that is forgiven because of the excellent service and amazing product. after I installed this I installed windows 7 64 bit and I ran siw (Google it) it showed 112% of the advertised capacity, I was ecstatic. this is a great site if your looking to make your system new. almost any problem can be fixed with more ram, and if you already have the maximum capacity for your motherboard replacing the old stuff with crucial ram will make a HUGE difference over your stock ram. I would recommend this site to anyone. and as a system rebuilder, if you are looking at the 1GB 184-pin DIMM DDR PC3200 NON-ECC ram that I am reviewing my condolences for your wallet these systems are not cheap to fix up.
