Comments about Crucial 1GB Upgrade for a Dell Inspiron 6000 System:

I purchased a 1GB memory stick to upgrade my memory from 1GB to 2GB based on a scan with the crucial memory tool. The scan indicated an open 1GB slot. When the product arrived and I opened the computer to install it, I found the slot already had a memory module installed but it was not seated properly. I wish the scan had picked up this problem and and I would not have ordered the other module. In their defense, I should have physically checked the slot before ordering, but I was unaware that a computer could boot up with a module not installed correctly.
