Storage Drives -- hard drives and solid state drives -- are the permanent memory for the programs and documents on your computer.

Data Transfer Rate is the rate at which data can be sent or received. This is determined by your motherboard. A drive with a higher transfer rate will only run at the rate of the motherboard's transfer rate.

Cache is a type of working memory that allows the drive to perform faster.

RPM is the rotations per minute of a hard drive which effects the speed of data transfer.

Solid State Drives are non-moving memory, so access speed is instant.

I ordered this 16GB module to upgrade my MacBook from 4GB. The package came in in excellent condition and was easy to open and install in my computer. It would have been nice to have included some short instructions (the package only directs you to a web link), but I figured it out fairly easily nevertheless.

I'm purchasing it for my own use and previously my MacBook kept suffer with memory issue when I'm using Eclipse for Android development. Now the problem disappears. And it is recommended upgrade for gamers as well. Although 16GB is a bit overkill as there was indication that 8GB should be sufficient, but it kind of like makes you feel 'safer'.

Everything from the thought to installation of my Macbook Pro memory upgrade was so effortless. When I inquired about what memory to buy "Crucial" was the most common name suggested, the parts wizard did all the work to insure I received the compatible part, the price was excellent, purchase and checkout was easy, delivery was prompt, and installation video saved me paying the "Geeks" $30 to install... What more can a consumer ask for in a purchase of goods...

                              Very Pleased,
