I am a computer nerd. I know very little about computers and am self-taught. Crucial analyzed my needs made and ordering so simple.
I installed the memory cards by myself on my 60th birthday in only a few minutes. I would have liked the video to have told me whether or not I needed to remove the old memory card. That slowed down my willingness to do the installation. Once I opened the computer I saw that I did indeed have to take out the old card to use the two slots necessary for the new ones. It couldn't have been easier and my computer is like new again. Humming like a top with lots of speed and no stalling on the games I like to play. Thanks so much Crucial. I love it!

This may not be the fault of Crucial. On the web a company analyzed my PC and found that I had three modules of 256 Mbyte memory. They said that I should remove one of the 256 Mbye modules and replace it with a 512 Mbyte memory, which they proceeded to sell me (via Crucial).

This could not be done in my PC ... it will only accomodate the 256 Mbyte module. So I was sold a memory which was unusable.

This memory was installed in an old computer and although it improved performance the PC is just too old to be of much use.

I procrastinated for years letting fears of "only making things worse" cripple my cajones. (sorry is that too vivid?)But finally I had no hair left to pull out waiting literal eons for simple downloads. So I used Crucial's assess system, spent [$] and now my 10 year old Dell is purring like a cheetah again. So gird up your loins, my freinds, you can do it! Plus there are plenty of helpful youtube videos.

Adding memory is always a good way to speed up a machine. This is no different, the memory from Cruical is always a purchase. It came as expected, and it was an easy install. I have used other places to buy memory, but they no longer have a good memory guide for what memory is to be in a specific machine. Cruical, did, and it was 100% correct.

I've never tried to install memory on a PC before, and I had my doubts. There were no instructions that came with the memory, so I had to figure it out on my own. Turned out to be easier than I had expected, after I figured out how to get into the processor. Some form of helpful hints would have been nice, but I made it without them.
