Memory:

DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 PC2-6400

Memory Type: DDR2 PC2-5300, DDR2 PC2-6400, DDR2 (non-ECC)
Maximum Memory: 8GB
Slots: 4

Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.

How much memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilize) only 3GB or 3.5GB. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS. More information about OS memory maximums can be found here.

Memory or DRAM is the "working" memory of the computer. It's used to store data for programs (sequences of instructions) on a temporary basis.

This is the second time I have used Crucial RAMS, they have both been positive experiences. I use my two pc's for DAWS and internet, they're both running smoothly with 4GB Crucial Rams. I wouldn't hesitate to use them in the future as long as they continue to be reliable.

I am very pleased with this RAM kit. I added the 4GB to the exisiting 1GB for a total of 5GB and have really noticed a difference in the performance of my PC. It boots and logs on faster, applications start and run faster and web browsing has never been better. I used the Crucial tool to recommend the type of RAM I needed and it was so easy to use and install. It totally revitalized my aging desktop. Note: Definitely watch the videos and read the instructions available on this site for tips. I recommend this RAM and this site.
