Memory:

DDR PC2700, DDR PC3200

Memory Type: DDR PC2700, DDR PC3200, DDR (non-ECC)
Maximum Memory: 4GB
Slots: 4

Although the memory can be installed one module at a time, the best performance comes from using matched pairs of modules.

How much memory your Windows OS will recognize depends on which version of Windows you are running. 32-bit versions of Windows will see (and utilize) only 3GB or 3.5GB. To utilize more memory, install a 64-bit version of your OS. More information about OS memory maximums can be found here.

Memory or DRAM is the "working" memory of the computer. It's used to store data for programs (sequences of instructions) on a temporary basis.

Using the Memory Advisor, I ordered the wrong generation of memory chips for our office computers. I called Crucial to exchange the chips. The customer service rep I spoke with did everything in his power to make the exchange easy and quick. He was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and professional. My call was answered immediately. I can't say enough good things about my experience with this company. And, I will definitely buy from them in the future.

The correct chips were easy to install and the speed increase was very noticeable.

The memory used to upgrade from 256MB to 4GB. Cannot get any better than this.

There are only a couple of names I trust with my memory and Crucial is one of them. I needed more speed from my anemic system. With all the various acronyms out there to describe the various aspects of system memory I really liked the "system scanner" that took a look at my system and suggested the proper RAM to get. Making the choice as simple as point and click. And the install was just as easy. I have used Crucial in the past and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to a friend (in fact I have recommended them to friends) all with fantastic results.
