Comments about Crucial 16GB kit (8GBx2) Upgrade for a HP - Compaq EliteBook 8570w Mobile Workstation (Quad Core) System:

Waiting in line is against my religion. I hate to wait. Right out of the box almost all computers need more RAM memory or they're slow, slow. Add to that I need to run virtual machines for work and I need a lot X 2. My default choice is Crucial. I've been using them for years for personal, and business computers -- from notebooks to servers. Value is important, but my time is more important to me. Crucial is priced right, and reliable. The best of both worlds.

Comments about Crucial 16GB kit (8GBx2) Upgrade for a HP - Compaq EliteBook 8570w Mobile Workstation (Quad Core) System:

Make sure you have a 64 bit OS and that you have an address bus capable of addressing all the memory you plan to install (just check the max memory specs for the hardware). For the HP EliteBook 8570w shipped with 8GB, 16 GB additional is fully addressible. And it has four memory slots.
