Storage:

SATA

Storage Drives -- hard drives and solid state drives -- are the permanent memory for the programs and documents on your computer.

Data Transfer Rate is the rate at which data can be sent or received. This is determined by your motherboard. A drive with a higher transfer rate will only run at the rate of the motherboard's transfer rate.

Cache is a type of working memory that allows the drive to perform faster.

RPM is the rotations per minute of a hard drive which effects the speed of data transfer.

Solid State Drives are non-moving memory, so access speed is instant.

Graphics Card:

nVidia GeForce 9400M Graphics

External Connector: 15-hole connector

Graphics Card A circuit board fitted to a computer containing the necessary video memory and other electronics to provide a bitmap display. Adaptors vary in the resolution (number of pixels) and number of colours they can display, and in the refresh rate they support. These parameters are also limited by the monitor to which the adaptor is connected.

I had purchased Crucial USB flash drives in the past and was impressed with their design and performance. When we purchased the MacBook Pro (Mid-2009), we purchased it with the maximum memory which was permitted (4 GB). Since that time, Apple permitted up to 8 GB of RAM. I was glad to find that Crucial had a tailored recommendation for a memory upgrade for my laptop. I had it installed by an authorized Apple Repair Center for a reasonable fee. They tested it and it worked right away. It hasn't let me down and I am glad to be able to open more applications safely.

I bought ram to upgrade my Macbook Pro. I paid for 3-day shipping, but it did not come in the day it said it would arrive. I contacted the person at Crucial via email and they were quick to respond and even gave me a credit for the shipping cost. Since, there are so few companies out that that offer customer delight, I will be telling my story about Crucial.
