Storage Drives -- hard drives and solid state drives -- are the permanent memory for the programs and documents on your computer.

Data Transfer Rate is the rate at which data can be sent or received. This is determined by your motherboard. A drive with a higher transfer rate will only run at the rate of the motherboard's transfer rate.

Cache is a type of working memory that allows the drive to perform faster.

RPM is the rotations per minute of a hard drive which effects the speed of data transfer.

Solid State Drives are non-moving memory, so access speed is instant.

I recommend Crucial RAM for macbook products! The service is quick, accountable and easy to use. I am usually reluctant ordering things online because I feel as it is harder to track what is going on and ensure quality of the products (from previous experience). However, Crucial has shown me that this is not the case! as soon as I placed my order, I could view the processes and steps currently being undertaken to deliver my product! I could literally track what was going on! The RAM arrived within a few days and there were no problems at all! I will definitely be buying from Crucial again when it comes to the time to upgrade my HDD :D :D :D
