I bought 8GB of this memory for both my boxes. The red LEDs contrast nicely with the blue LEDs of my case fans. Perfect upgrade for running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit.

Have these overclocked at 4-4-4-12-24 @1T 840 Mhz completely stable. Not worried about breaking any warranties, I bought these lightly used on[...].I'm very happy with this purchase, the only problem will be finding another 4gb's when I want to upgrade due to decreased availability.

Comments about Crucial 4GB kit (2GBx2), Ballistix Tracer 240-pin DIMM (with LEDs), DDR2 PC2-6400,:

Worked fine for the first couple of months on my NF680i motherboard as an upgrade from 2 to 4 GB. Then the system start to BSODs. Tested with memtest, it failed consitently. I tried two other motherboards, NF780i and nForce 780a. Memtest failed the same way. I used my old RAM, they works perfectly.

RMA. Stilled waiting to test the new ones.

They work OK for about 6 months and now strange things happened, BSOD, and restart memtest 2 loops OK, the restart after ten minutes BSOD again, memtest again and a lot of errors, on the same setings that are on the labels 800 4/4//4//12 2.2 v, this after they come back from RMA ant there the test was ok, for the period of RMA i used another brand and no problems for 2 weeks, computer was on for at leas 72 hours and no restart or BSOD, when i put the Crucial god by stability, i will send it back too RMA and if they don`r return my money i am going to put 2.5 v and burned on purpose, i am extremely disappointed, sorry for my English.

This RAM runs perfectly on a P45 motherboard using EPP/XMP1 profile 4-4-4-12@2.0v and responds well to overclocking. My BIOS required an update to the newest revision to be able to hit the max performance speeds and timings, but this is more an issue with the board itself. The red lights also perfectly compliment my all-red color scheme.

On my motherboard the ram timings is set to 5-5-5-18@1.86v by default but, those can easily be changed to crucial specs at 4-4-4-12@2.0v in the bios. Even though i would like to see the ram run on its full specs by default, the performance of the ram, once you get the settings dialed in is great. performance, speed and reliable. definitely a recommended ram. cheers.

4 x 2 GB on an Intel D975XBX2 board (btw memory timings are autodetected at 5-5-5-18 at 1.84V by the board with currently latest available BIOS (04/2008) running Vista Ultimate x64 just fine.
The glow of my system has drastically changed from prior blue only to predominantly red now. In case you're just starting out to put a system together and want to keep the color coordinated you may want to pay attention to the color you purchase. The modules come individually packed in a fully sealed blister pack - which are a pain to open - in a server room with no scissors in sight. Else it's crucial what else can or do I have to say? :)
