My experience is similiar to others withthis memory- started getting unexplained reboots after 6 months of clean running. Ran Memtest86 as well as Windows Memory diagnostics. Both report bad memory stick. My last memtest86 wouldn't even finish a pass without a memory failure. Very diappointing and the first bad experience with Crucial that I've had. It won't run at the speced 2.0 volt as well has to run at 1.8. I would not recommend this batch to my forend.Hopesully I get a differnet lot on my RMA.

Great RAM, but VISTA would crash after exiting from sleep mode after I installed it. All the tests say the RAM is OK, But I think there is compatibility issue between VISTA 64, this RAM and the graphics card ATI 2900XT. I think this is a VISTA issue, not a RAM issue.
Otherwise, besides Sleep mode works perfectly even when OverClocked.
I would recommend it and I am going to buy another 2x2 kit.

too bad. I just got my 2nd replacement set.. each time the RAM died after about 6 months. Tech support asked me to adjust the volt. however, I have mine set according to the JEDEC profile (1.8V). Apparently these RAM aren't able to run at this profile reliably long enough..

Comments about Crucial 4GB kit (2GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-6400,:

This kit was actually a warranty replacement for another CL4 2x2GB Crucial kit that died after 3 months. Great, fast RAM...too bad it doesn't last. Windows started throwing stop errors unexpectedly, and looking at the crash dumps it was reporting "memory corruption" as the reason. Yikes. Ran Memtest86+ right after a crash, and many, many errors were reported. Unfortunately once the instability starts, the RAM becomes very unreliable. Windows could run fine for hours before crashing, or crash immediately upon boot. I'm waiting for my replacement set, but I'm not holding my breath.

I bought this memory for a Shuttle barebones system and it works great. (Works in both the SN68SG2 and the SN78SH7).

[@] no problems for about 3 months, then I started getting some unexplained reboots. Memtest86 and windows memory diagnostics tool verified that it was the RAM. Reseated and retested with memtest86 and no errors, but after a half a day running a fresh install of windows xp (argh) it started happening again, and the memory testers found errors again. This was with no overclocking of any kind, and with no errors on any hard drives and a 12-hour run of prime95 to verify that the CPU wasn't throwing errors. Hopefully the RMA process will be smooth and hopefully the replacement stick(s) will be good, I must have just gotten a bad batch. But considering that of 3 other reviewers, one also had to return his, maybe it's not that unusual with these sticks.

I had to replace the original Ballistix (purchased from Newegg)There must have been problems or compatibility issues with the original; other wise why would Crucial replace all four 2 gig modules? but Crucial customer service was great (not really fast, but there very busy). so far my self built computer has never ran better. I have built many computers with Crucial RAM in most; from now on there all be fitted with Ballistix RAM.

No complaints, except for the rebate hassles. Crucial should just offer this at a reduced price, period...

Comments about Crucial 4GB kit (2GBx2), Ballistix 240-pin DIMM, DDR2 PC2-6400,:

This RAM is simply amazing. I built a computer from Newegg last November. I installed 4 1GB sticks of G.Skill RAM and had several problems. I had Vista errors pop up on my screen all the time has the dreaded BSOD at least daily. I ran a memory test on my computer and the G.Skill failed. Rather than doing an RMA and being stuck with the same RAM I decided to instead order 2x2GB sticks of Crucial Ballistix RAM. Since I replaced the RAM I have had not a single error. My computer has become the most stable computer I've ever owned. I plan to purchase 2 more sticks in the near future to install with my 64 bit Vista. I know I don't really need this much RAM but I still want to see how it runs with max memory. Thanks crucial for making such a great product.
