After replacing my motherboard and duel core processor with a new six core, I needed decent memory at a low cost to get me by until I could afford 4X4Gb sticks. I read reviews, and talked to friends about what they used, and decided that I would try out Crucial. I am very pleased at what I got for my money.

I ran 2 sticks of this ram @ 3-3-3-7 700Mhz 3.8u seconds refresh time. When I purchased the second pair of modules for a 4Gb total, I was forced to run the modules @ 4-4-4-12 (at 700mhz aswell). On a side note; the modules can also be overclocked to 4-4-4-7 timing @ 1066 Mhz and slightly higher. The newer modules had only one row of LEDS's as opposed to the older ones two rows. I'm assuming because the newer one side LED has a chip density of 1GB meanwhile the older versions are 512MB a side resulting in two rows of LEDS. All in all these ram sticks can be overclocked well and preform much better than thier intended specifications.Be prepared to answer everyone who asks where you got your flashy ram if you have a case window!
