I am an independent computer technician I have been purchasing from Crucial for about 9 years now and know that what I am ordering is going to work first time. It costs me time and money to search the internet for a low price and then get something that isn't computable and I have to arrange for a RMA and then purchase the correct one, and go back to the client and install the proper memory. If more people would ask technicans they would tell you pull out an old stick and see what the Manufacturer put in when it was built. Then they would see Crucial, or Micron (same company) on a good number of sticks that they find. I could go on and on but I'll say this in closing if you open any of my PC all you will find is Crucial. I have a 1705, a Q1, my daughter has a D610 and this is written on an 8400 all maxed out with memory from Crucial.

Upgraded laptop to max memory. Haven't used Photoshop yet to see if it helps. Only other apps used are spreadsheet and internet, which are not very RAM intensive.
