Dealing with 6-7 files open across Illustrator and Photoshop all in 300+dpi for print really bogged down my work iMac. It is able to handle up to 3GB of ram, so i got one of the crucial 2GB sticks to boost the handling of these types of tasks. Works great, could tell the difference in boot time, and the ability to switch between open files, and continue working. Just what I was looking for.

Not only did it give me a list of what I could purchase, there was also info about my computer, how much availability there was for increased ram and how to install. I needed extra RAM to speed up my MAC Leopard so I could run Parallels with Windows XP at the same time.

When rendering video the additional RAM shaved more than half the time the off of the render. It's great to have the additional boost in power.
