I don't game so I can't tell you that it's blisteringly fast.., but with 512Mb RAM my old laptop couldn't cope running antivirus in addition other programs. It was just too slow to bear. Adding two 1 Gb sticks was easy, and my laptop now has another few years before the bin calls. This was a good investment.

Out of desperation I bought this 1Gb module for my Dell Inspiron laptop because it had virtually ground to a halt. Upgrading the memory from 384Mb (256+128) to 1256Mb has speeded it up sufficiently to make it usable again. The module was dead easy to fit following the excellent info on the Crucial website.
