I was hoping for more from the increased RAM capacity (1,5GB >> 3,5GB). Most of my videos on my Harddisk can now be played smoothly, but I do see that some videos stall momentarily or sort of break up. For my particular model (G5 dual 2GHZ processor), i will probably need further enhancements. OR it could be the way internet-videos are encoded OR my preferred videoplayer needs to be updated.

I bought 4 x 1GB RAM to upgrade my Apple G5. The correct RAM was easy to find [...]. But the best thing about choosing RAM from this site is the system scanner. It's so easy to use, gives you all the options you are looking for and removes the worry of accidentally buying the wrong type of RAM.I can't fault it, even the price is excellent. I appreciated the website checks to see exactly which RAM one needed.

The only problem I had was getting the modules to click into position in my Macintosh G5 PowerPC. Applying all my strength, it would not go in. Upon pressing one side and then the other successively, it eventually clicked into position. The second module was the same. Now I have a 3GB RAM computer and there have been no other problems.

The additional RAM was instantly recognised by my computer's System Profiler.

Recommended.
