I bought this to extend the life of a 3 year old Dell Optiplex GX520. I had 1.5GB in this machine which allowed it to run Vista, but rather slower than it had ran under XP. I had to bin a 512MB DIMM to install this 2GB module, so I now have 3GB. This has greatly improved performance, especially according to Vista's scoring system, the business graphics performance. The PC a P4 2.8 has now got the same score as my home Core 2 Duo laptop. Great upgrade for not much money.
