The support from the very beginning was excellent. The certainty of the match between motherboard, chip set, and RAM was easily established on the Crucial site and it was downhill from there. Hoped I could get the recommended 8gb Ram to post but it would not despite following all the suggestions from CS, latest bios, reduce speed, check voltage supply sufficient, use optimal setting but no joy with any. CS responded promptly but finally told me to ask ASUS. Their MB recommendations failed for 8gb Ram - but 4gb would work. System has Phenom II x4 940. Sorry, I can't recommend.

Memory has gotten cheaper and cheaper these days, but the quality from Crucial has not. The memory module was easy to install and performance increase was noticeable (from 3GB to 4GB win xp pro 64 bit). The product does what it says it should do and that is what I think identifies as a quality product.

Went from 2 gig to 8 gigs on a primary computer that was about 4 years old and running Vista slowly. I spent much of the last year blaming it on Vista - because that is what we all do.. right?

The memory identification software is very slick and useful, and saves opening the case just to find out what memory it can use. The installation information warned me about the fact that often the video card blocks some memory banks and may need to be removed and replaced, so I was prepared for that.

The only "Con" I think of is that I've gotten used to having a great story to tell after most hardware changes. The tales typically involve Internet research, numerous cycles of trial and error, maybe some time talking to a person in the Philippines named "Sam" and winds up with me the hero for getting to the holy grail of a machine that will re-boot.

Never happened. Increasing the memory was the easiest and most cost effective way to get another year or two out of the machine. I was so confident I installed 64 bit Windows 7 and the darned thing boots up 25% faster (3 minutes now versus just over 4 minutes before) and runs multiple graphic windows with ease.

This is a great module of DDR2 RAM. I bought it a few weeks ago for my new video game and it boosted the speed. The only thing that i wish Crucial did for me was to tell me that i had to have equal amounts of rams on each ends of the RAM slots. My Memory Module does not run to full capacity for this reason, but i still get a greater, faster performance out of my computer. Thanks Crucial!!

ABSOLUTELY OUTSTANDING!!!! I have a gateway GT5622. The computer came with 3072GB RAM. Two 1gb sticks, and two 512MB sticks. Removed one 512MB stick and installed new Crucial 2GB, 240 pin. Opened up "System", and now says I have 4.50GB RAM. FANTASTIC!! I've read several reviews here that say that the computer will only recognize 4GB of RAM. Don't really understand. I have a feeling if I bought another Crucial 2GB stick, removed the other 512MB stick it'll go up to 6GB RAM. Am I wrong? Fantastic Crucial!!!!

The memory is working great and has sped up my computer's performance. Unfortunately it wasn't as easy as plug and play. When I first installed the memory (I got 2 sticks for a total of 4 GB) and booted up my computer it only saw 2.5 GB of memory. I didn't know that Windows XP (32-bit) could only see up to 3 GB. After upgrading my OS to Windows 7 RC (64-bit) the computer saw 3.5 GB... Then I upgraded the BIOS on my motherboard. After that the computer finally saw the full 4 GB! So if you're going over 3 GB, be ready. You might have to do a little extra than just plug it in and go.

I use the RAM to play games, and do design work. I noticed an immense increase in speed for my computer when I upgraded from 1GB to 4GB. Although I am still on a 32-bit OS, and it only recognizes 3 of it I cannot even imagine what it'll be like when I upgrade to 64bit!

The RAM did, however, increase the temperature my computer runs at, and I had to turn the speed up on one of my fans. I suppose that is to be expected.

Great product so far - no complaints. Had it for 2 weeks so far.

I purchased this ram to use in an intel Atom 1.6Ghz mobo for a PC I am building for my grandmother, I chose Crucial because I purchased 2GB of Ballistix ram for my SLI rig & Crucial was very prompt at replacing a stick that happened to go bad after 4 months of use & this is why I chose them for my second purchase, Their [...] & support is excellent! High quality compact design fit nicely in my smaller ATX case/motherboard which only provides two memory slots. I was blown away that I was able to get such a high capacity chip for such a low price.
I use this in an Ubuntu Linux server that I put together from a hand me down Core2Duo chip. Dramatic speed improvement over the 1GB I had installed previously and I can work with much larger multimedia files now.

When I went to replace the defective chip, I was also allowed to cross-exchange to a faster memory speed. This cost no extra since the higher spped was listed at the same price.

Any time I want to add memory to a machine I will be relying on like my personal computer or a server, I use Crucial memory. Even machines that have problems with other chips perform flawlessly with Crucial products, and that isn't just for a short term either. You can get cheaper memory in any of the box stores, or even at some grocery stores now, but the quality always leaves a lot to be desired. Because of the analysis software, you get the correct modules for your motherboard. You will spend a lot less time running around after parts and a lot more time using your computer![...] I have been a very satisfied Crucial Customer for over 8 years now, and strongly recommend their modules to anyone who will listen to me.

I was having problems with random Blue Screens of Death and that when was I was lucky (sometimes the PC would just shut down with no blue screen).

I replaced the motherboard and processor first (for various reasons), but it didn't fix the problem. However, replacing my Cosair memory with Crucial did the trick.

Crucial has never given me problems in the past and fix my problems this time. I'll never stray again. Promise.

I was very please to find a site to search for compatable memory for specific motherboards. The bonus was the price.
