The mchine had 1,204 mb RAM and for less than £20.00 have upgraded this to 3Gb RAM and the increase in machine performance is noticeable

Great as a general upgrade, good price for general use reliable memory. I upgraded from 1GB (2x512MB) to 3GB -I just plugged it into the free slots and the system picked up the change without any problems.
