I had trouble installing this but only because I have never done anything like it before. The helpline was brilliant and the guy very understanding. One extra line in the installation guide would have helped me, " Push into slot until the connections can no longer be seen"

Crucial Response: All RAM is JEDEC standard. If the module does not fit it is one of two things. It is either the wrong type of memory (ie DDR vs DDR2) or it is the wrong slot.

Purchased to upgrade an ageing Dell Inspiron 1000, checked Dell's own website who were 'attempting' to charge [£] [...] for the same product just for badge!Simple installation which simply transformed my laptop from struggling to open IE to running multiple applications and suprisingly doubled on-board graphics from 32mb to 64mb which has now made media much enjoyable. To those upgrading laptop ram, you really need some confidence to shove it in quite hard, was definately scared of damaging it!
