I am a video editor using Edius 4.61 and recently had problems with a large project which kept needing rendering, otherwise would not play smoothly, (I work with a laptop)
On Grass valley advice, increased my ram from 1Gb two 2Gb, and now can play pretty well everything smooothly, unless there is a large amount of FX and heavy processing, but even this plays quite well, sometimes slowly, but smoothly.
Am very happy, fitted the ram with no problem, can now get on faster.

Crucial's scanner couldn't detect the Portege A200 model but the Customer Service line was great. Increasing the total memory from 256MB to 1.25GB makes this laptop fly along! (Unusually, bank A & B support different capacity mem sticks!)[...]

Old rare lap top could not detect in spite of scan programme saying to would. Could be faulty module, I think the scan program has made an error.

I already had 1Gb of memory installed on my laptop in the combination of 2 X 512Mb cards, when my in-laws asked me to up-grade their lap top I thought that I'd do mine at the same time. I purchased 2 of these cards, but at the moment Win XP will only recognise the first card!
If anyone knows how to get XP to regognise the 2nd 1Gb card, would be most interested in hearing from you.
Only 3 stars due to the fact that XP wont recognise the 2nd card,I have been most imprested with Crusial and have purchased from them many times before, and most likely will again in the future!
