Upgraded my 20" G4 with this memory chip, to create a performance upgrade of the machine thus allowing the operating system to also be upgraded in the future thus extending the product life cycle.
This extended its return on investment whilst at the same time saving the environment. Very Green.
This was a particularly technical upgrade that this memory company helped with by being so very very good at providing customer service.

I own the Netgear Duo of which by Default of the manufacturer came with 256 ram and was upgradable to 1gig. So it was a no brainer really to upgrade and the price of crucial including delivery beat [...]as well as other online suppliers by a couple of quid! Installation took less than 5 minuets and I was able to use the Server in moments with no issues!Speed was noticed. However, as we access the media through laptops via Wi-Fi then this was obviously not as fast as it was on our Gigabyte network of which was!!

Upgraded old IBM T42 Thinkpad from standard 512MB to 2GB. XP is much more stable. Can now set windows to lock core files in memeory and not use swap drive. This requires at least 512MB. Much less thrashing. Once Computer has started, applications run much smoother. Startup also seems a lot faster, a couple of minutes max, as opposed to turning on the laptop, making a cup of tea, comming back, logging in, waiting,drinking the tea and finally working.

I tried a 1Gb stick but it didn't work on the Compaq Evo N1015v so I swapped for 2 x 512Mb sticks. These sticks are relative antiques so not the best price, but better than throwing away a perfectly decent laptop bogged down with bloated updated programs (virgin media PC guard).

The load time onto the desktop has improved and its responsiveness.

Increased 5 year old WinXp Acer laptop memory (2 x 256MB) by adding 1GB. Was a bit worried about installing it myself, but instructions were easy to follow and it turns out to be easy! Only hiccup was initially installing the 1GB into Slot 1 instead of Slot 0 (since these did not seem to be labeled) but it was easy to remedy using CrucialUKScan to check what was installed where.
Performance is greatly improved.

The 3.5 year old Packard Bell Easynote A8 with 500M of RAM (two DIMMs of 250MB each)had become tediously slow to use, particularly with newer software applications that were more demanding on memory. I replaced the existing memory with two of these 1GB DIMMs. Installation was very easy, just swap the new DIMMs for the old ones. Performance of laptop is much better, I would say as good as new!

By having this upgrade Crucial saved me from buying another computer, my laptop was getting very slow 512mb, the makers Novatech said "that it couldn't take anymore memory as they didn't know what the motherboard was.
Crucial came to the rescue they found what I needed and gave me a direct link to the right product so they save me a shed load of cash so well done to you Sir 10/10

My Mac PowerBook G4 15" Aluminum 1.25Ghz recognised this straight away. Getting the chip in at the right angle was tricky on the upper slot but patience got me there! [...]The only thing that should be mentioned is that the Powerbook G4 needs chips compatible with Bus Slewing, which many users may not be aware of. Perhaps this could be added to the scan results once the scan detects your on a mac? Anyway these are the chips you need!

I am a video editor using Edius 4.61 and recently had problems with a large project which kept needing rendering, otherwise would not play smoothly, (I work with a laptop)
On Grass valley advice, increased my ram from 1Gb two 2Gb, and now can play pretty well everything smooothly, unless there is a large amount of FX and heavy processing, but even this plays quite well, sometimes slowly, but smoothly.
Am very happy, fitted the ram with no problem, can now get on faster.

Crucial's scanner couldn't detect the Portege A200 model but the Customer Service line was great. Increasing the total memory from 256MB to 1.25GB makes this laptop fly along! (Unusually, bank A & B support different capacity mem sticks!)[...]

I already had 1Gb of memory installed on my laptop in the combination of 2 X 512Mb cards, when my in-laws asked me to up-grade their lap top I thought that I'd do mine at the same time. I purchased 2 of these cards, but at the moment Win XP will only recognise the first card!
If anyone knows how to get XP to regognise the 2nd 1Gb card, would be most interested in hearing from you.
Only 3 stars due to the fact that XP wont recognise the 2nd card,I have been most imprested with Crusial and have purchased from them many times before, and most likely will again in the future!
