We had 2 gigs of memory installed when we upgrated to the Snow Leopard 64 bit system. There were issues with the video performance and overall speed when running Elements. I increased my RAM from a measly 1 gig to 3 with this simple upgrade from crucial. I recently upgraded from Tiger to Snow Leopard on my 2007 iMac (C2D 2.0 ghz) and it was running a bit slower than I'd have liked. It was simple to install and my computer immediately recognized it and everything started running faster. Even with multiple applications (Handbrake encoding, iTunes playing, browsing, and composing in Finale) going simultaneously, I still almost always have close to a gig of free memory. Definitely recommended!

We bought our iMac 2 years ago for basic business/office work, most notably using Quickbooks for Mac. We recently upgraded from the QB 2007 to QB 2010 and the sluggish performance was quite noticeable. We added the new Crucial memory to boost the machine from 1 to 4 GB (at half the price for Apple's memory) and now it hums along nicely. Should be good for another 12 - 18 months now! I have purchased from Crucial before and swear by their products and will continue to do so.

Installed without any issues. I ordered one for myself and then my mom got one for me like 2 weeks later. I was running with 3GB for a couple of days, and there was an obvious difference as soon as I booted up after install of the first 2GB stick. Then when I got the other 2GB stick, I replaced my remaining 1GB stick and closed the hatch, booted up, and VOILA!.. no issues, no hiccups, and definitely no lack of speed.

Great product. But it's not like I am surprised that it worked without a problem. I had a feeling this was a quality product..

I guess my only complaint would be that I have 2 x 1GB sticks lying around waiting to collect dust. Hmmm...

[...]1 screw in bottom and would you believe, it had been cross threaded..... Worked a half hour getting it out. After getting the Mac open, installation was a breeze but never did hear the CLICK they said I should hear. I knew I had it pushed in as the top was level with the one in the next slot. So closed it up and performed the smoke test....... A-OK! Played the HD version of the Steve Jobs Macbook presentation and it played full screen with nary a hiccup!Logic 8 Express will now play with other apps running. It would choke before the memory upgrade.

It made my 20" iMac run at least 3x faster after switching from 1 GB of ram to 3 GBs of ram. Everything runs super speedy like it was brand new! Of course when i bought this 2 GB ram i bought it back in January and it cost me [$] but it was not that expensive. Now im going to buy 2 GB more and replace the 1 GB card in my iMac and have 4 GB ram all together! Cant wait! Crucial rocksss

I am a technical support rep and I needed a lot more ram (2 gigs) than what came with my new imac. So glad I didn't waste horrendous amounts of money on Apple ram! It took me less than a minute to pop in the ram. My imac is running without a hitch two operating system simultaneously. I cannot believe how awesome this machine is with this ram! I have since talked to many people who have bought Crucial for years now and rave about it. I am so glad I discovered Crucial. We are going to be updating our daughters laptop and my husbands iMac. We will definitely be back to Crucial!
