Doubled my laptop memory with this memory module and it now boots faster, loads programs faster, and may run programs a little faster. It feels about 10 percent faster although it has twice the memory, but for the price I'd do it again.

If you're thinking about upgrading the memory in your system or adding more memory don't hesitate. Crucial has a great selection of quality memory modules at a great price. Buy with confidence using Crucial's compatibility wizard and know your new memory will work in your system ;)
Don't get left in the dust, upgrade to the optimal amount of memory to get the most out of your pc! Memory requirements for OS' and applications are only increasing, especially if you multitask or are considering virtualization. My Dell inspiron laptop was rather slow due to many web design and other programs. The 256 Mb RAM I had didn't cut it and I increased the RAM to 1GB. Computer repair shop quoted me $100 for RAM and $45 to install.[...] steered me to Crucial and said once I bought RAM they would install it for $39.95. I purchased the 1 Gb for almost [$] and just opened small area in back of laptop, removed 256 Mb and slid in and installed 1 Gb RAM. Voila! Didn't need anything but Crucial and the whole job cost me under [$].

This 1GB Memory was purchased for my Dell Inspiron 2200. The primary purpose was to increase memory and ultimately computer speed. Item [...]was easy to install by removing the cover on the bottom of the laptop. Upon initial reboot, the computer immediately detected the additional memory and updated the memory stats on the computer. Unfortunately, the computer started failing to boot about every 3rd time the computer is turned on. I have to remove the memory and reinstall. The computer then will boot properly about 80% of the time. If the computer fails to boot, I have to repeat the removal and reinstallation of the memory card. This gets very frustrating. If the memory card is removed completely, the computer works fine without booting problems. Obviously, the memory card is causing this error. I'm now contacting Crucial to discuss replacing this newly purchased product.
