It's RAM, just make sure your whole system can utilize 4GB before buying the 4GB kit as if one component doesn't see it you will not have the benefit of all 4GB and are better off with 2-3 as it's much cheaper.

It was so easy to install I couldnt believe it, but, that is mainly the pc makers' doings. I would have given it a 5 stars, but, I am not 100% sure that it recognized the full 4 gb of memory added. My system shows both slots installed and ok, but, parts of system only show around 2 gig of memory.

This was so easy to install and sped up our Acer notebooks a lot! Using the Crucial System Scanner Tool made figuring out what we needed practically a snap for anyone! Our notebooks have always been slow to start up and shut down. Adding these maximum memory upgrades to them, has them powering on and off in a third of the time it used to take. I have also seen substantial performance increases across the board in things such as internet page loading and response times with multiple applications open at the same time. I wish I had done this when we first bought them. The benefits are well worth the nominal cost and I would recommend maxing out the memory capacity of notebooks to anyone not happy with the way theirs works as it was purchased!

My Acer came with 1GB of RAM and my VISTA OS soaked that up. I purchsed 4GB of RAM and uploadewd Vista SP2. Results, ZOOOOMMMMMmmming fast - I got the FULL 4GB to use.

This addition improved my $499 Special Acer notebook with Instant coupon,a discount and a mail in rebate with Vista OS to a machine worth well over $1,000 and Crucial memory sticks did it. No complaints just speed. I now get 100% of what I expect most of the time.
