Installed 2 of these into a Fujitsu laptop that only came with 512MB by default. The laptop had Vista installed and it was crawling but since the upgrade it flies. Have given the laptop back to the family friend and they think they've got a new machine. Crucial always send out the correct RAM for whatever PC/Laptop/Server I need it for and I've never had a failed module.

The memory was fine , my main problem was removing the cheap screws from the back of the laptop that were put in too tight and threatened to disintegrate rather than cleanly screw out.

The crucial website advised me this was the product I needed to upgrade my laptop's memory. I was having alot of issues with it running slow when more than one application was running. The product arrived within a day or two of me ordering it, and was really easy to install (i'm not the most technical person). My laptop is now running much quicker - I can even open other applications while my antivirus software is updating! Seriously though - much improved. The only thing I'd suggest is some quick instructions so users can double check their memory status - because fitting the part was so easy I was convinced I'd not done it right :-)

I needed extra speed as i only had 1gb of memory so was going to get new laptop, i then saw Crucial and used there download tool which identified what memory my laptop could take and what it already had. The download tool then told me which memory was compatible, i ordered this with free p&p (another benefit) and upgraded my laptop which is now alot faster and works perfectly. The crucial website showed how i install extra memory and i did this within 5 mins myself. Excellent website and service and i will use again. 5 stars.

After several days of start up issues after installing new RAM, help desk suggested I reverse the positions of the old and new ram. Following this and re-booting the system worked fine. Might have been helpful if this was included on the installation instructions.

Laptop factory fitted with only 512mb RAM.
Booting up seemed to take an age.
Machine kept falling over when running multiple applications or upgrades/scans re anti-virus software
Purchased 2 x 1GB, 200-pin SODIMM, DDR2 PC2-5300, NON-ECC, instal instructions very comprehensive and easy to follow paying attention to things not necessarily obvious.
Operating speed of laptop now unbelievably fast; was considering buying a new laptop but not now.

Bought this to speed up the wifes laptop from 1Gb to 2Gb, which is the maximum it would take. I think this should be the minimum for running Vista.She says it's running much faster now, so she's happy. Easy to install, and works first time. Thanks, Crucial.
