The price was right, it came sooner than expected, and I'm glad I looked up the manual on how to replace the memory. It took a bit of courage, but after practicing with the old memory to get it back in, and moving the tabs on the side half way up and a firm push, this computer idiot managed to install it herself. My dinosaur works again!

This may not be the fault of Crucial. On the web a company analyzed my PC and found that I had three modules of 256 Mbyte memory. They said that I should remove one of the 256 Mbye modules and replace it with a 512 Mbyte memory, which they proceeded to sell me (via Crucial).

This could not be done in my PC ... it will only accomodate the 256 Mbyte module. So I was sold a memory which was unusable.

Crucial Response: The Dimension 2350 will take up to 512MB per slot.

The easy to use scanning tool told me just what I needed to upgrade the memory in a computer that was running slower than molasses. The instructions to find the chips that needed to be replaced and how to remove the old and insert the new were clear and concise. We went from barely able to move to sprinting the length of a marathon.

I am a computer nerd. I know very little about computers and am self-taught. Crucial analyzed my needs made and ordering so simple.
I installed the memory cards by myself on my 60th birthday in only a few minutes. I would have liked the video to have told me whether or not I needed to remove the old memory card. That slowed down my willingness to do the installation. Once I opened the computer I saw that I did indeed have to take out the old card to use the two slots necessary for the new ones. It couldn't have been easier and my computer is like new again. Humming like a top with lots of speed and no stalling on the games I like to play. Thanks so much Crucial. I love it!

The main computer that we use for creating proposals and doing research at work was painfully slow when you would open multiple applications. The time we would have to wait for things to open would cause major inefficiency in getting work done.
I upgraded the 256 of RAM it had in it with 2 512MB of RAM and all of the sluggishness went away.

I upgraded from one 256MB memory card to two 512MB cards after being frustrated with how slow my 4 year old computer was responding. The upgrade did the trick...now things are running fast and I've extended the life of my PC for a nominal cost. I didn't realize how firm you must press the memory cards to insert them..make sure you press the cards all the way in and the clips close, otherwise your computer will not start properly when you attempt it unless the clips are snapped closed.

I only had one memory chip of 256MB of ram. By running the crucial.com scan, it identified what I had and recommended different options. I went with two chips totaling 1GB and what a difference that has made. PC running a whole lot better now. I can't say how happy I am with the experience with crucial.com. Never upgraded memory before, it was really just as easy as changing a lightbulb, and took about as long! The benefit is I took my older computer and gave it new life. It was time to buy a new system, or so I thought... but the economical upgrade means this computer will be fine for a few more years in terms of speed, and handling the continuously larger files found on the Internet.
