I have an IMAC and needed to expand the ram. Crucial's automated tool was easy to use and accurately identified how much I could expand and provided information how to install the ram cards. I had some initial difficulty getting the MAC to recognize the install and called the Crucial help desk. I was promptly directed to a technician that stayed with me on the phone while I completed the installation. As it turned out, the MAC had one defective ram port and Crucial issued a return material number and instructions on how to return the ram card that I could not use. [...]

I bought this memory module to upgrade my 20" iMac Core Duo. I'v been using this computer for the past 3 years and still works like a charm, I had 1.5 GB installed on it (1 GB of it was bought from Crucial a couple of years ago) and felt like a memory upgrade was in order before upgrading to Snow Leopard and my computer purrs like a kitten . Every time I need memory modules I get them from Crucial because I can find exactly the memory I need form every computer without hassle, the price is right [...]This factors are even more important to me as I live in Mexico and finding memory here on respected vendors is very troublesome. I certainly recommend Crucial.

I had to go online for installation instructions. Quick install and speeds things up. Save your old chips so if you ever need Apple to work on your computer you can swap them out. Non Apple chips void the warranty.

To be honest, i was told about Crucial by a Mac Genius @ one of their stores. Although i was skeptical about buying something for my mac that wasnt made by mac, i am very pleased and have informed my father and brother, both who have purchase more RAM for their computers as a result of how happy i was. Especially with the fact that it is so inexpensive to do so (compared to mac prices)> defiantly buy these they are great and my computer has NO lag what-so-ever!!!!
