i bought this ram to max out my laptops memory capacity. It went into my hp pavilion dv6205us like it was meant to be there, only 4 minutes to install. I was suprised at my startup speed and restart speed, programs are faster and finish tasks quicker so once again, THANKS CRUCIAL

I know that Crucial ahead of the game when it comes to memory. They are highly rated and reccomended. I can't give a fair review due to an untimely display hardware failure on my Tochiba 105 series laptop that happened 2 days after installing the memory. The first thing I did was to put the old memory back in, but 15 munutes later after the system got some heat in it, the display went blank, again.[...]

I bought this for my Dell D600 laptop.
One edge of the connector was a little bit too long to fit in the socket. Maybe .5 mm too long. I did a really stupid thing. It looked like there was no metal in the piece that was too long, so I shaved a little off the edge and tried it. I guess there was metal in there and it shorted. It killed my motherboard. Luckily, it's a work computer, and I didn't tell anyone what I did and they replaced the motherboard. Anyway, don't buy this for a D600, and if it doesn't fit, send it back, don't try it. Actually, just have IT uprade your memory :)
