My imac 2.8ghz 24" was fast before with 2gig and fast now with 4 gigs, but the problem I had was when running XP or Windows 7 RC using Parallel or VM ware. Running Winows (being the memory hog it is) would bring the whole machine to a crawl. Adding the additional 2 gigs made all the difference in the world. Thank you very much.

I bought a 4-Gig Kit one chip worked, the other didn't I returned the bad on and got a replacement and that one was bad too.
I ordered a 2-Gig Chip direct from Apple and it worked, just like my original RAM. after replacing the old with the new from Crucial.
It was more expensive but the chips from Apple worked!

You don't need to have an engineering degree to install this memory it is extremely simple. You need a Phillips screw driver to remove one screw, remove the cover, pull the tab to take out the old memory and simply slide this one in its place and replace the cover.

[...] I installed the RAM as instructed, but my iMac would not boot up with the Crucial chips. I tried pulling the RAM and re-seating it, but still nothing happened. I reverted to the original RAM, and it worked fine.

Service & Delivery comments:

I tried to use the online chat feature to discuss my problem, but after having to wait a while for an agent to come online before asking my question, I never received a response to that question. The agent simply never responded even though I kept the chat window open for a long time. An email address is required to access the online chat feature, and I have not received a follow-up via email either.

I just installed this product this morning. This is the first time I tried to do anything with the mac. I was not quite sure if these up-grades would work.
My mac now says 4mg so guess I was successful. Talked to the trainer at our Apple store, she thought it would speed up the mac somewhat, although with the 2mg that it came with it is super fast compared to windows.

GOOD JOB CRUCIAL!!

Always have chosen Crucial. Great website and great products at reasonable prices. However the memory sticks were so well packaged, you almost have to perform delicate surgery to open the plastic containers which have no opening method provided
