I had NO experience installing memory on my old Mac ibook G4. This product does NOT come with installation directions! However, with a quick Google search I found several videos about how to do it. I easily removed the old memory and installed the new, but I did not push the card in all the way, so at first it didn't work. You need to hear a little click when you push the new memory in!

Terrfic value. A solid product. Increased system performance on an Apple iBook G4 that had factory spec RAM of only 256MB by 100%. Best money ever invested in this 2004 machine.

This definitely increased the speed of my computer. The first time I tried to install, I followed directions my husband found with a Google search. I didn't push down hard enough and the module gave me trouble. The second time I followed Crucial's instructions which alerted me to the need to push hard. That time it took about five minutes to install and wow, what a difference!

Completely affordable and easy to use! I am so happy I got the chip here instead of Apple, saved me hundreds! My computer was so sluggish and took forever to load everything, now it runs smoothly and quickly. The chip was really easy to put in, once I figured out how hard I had to push it into place, but it would have been nice to have directions with the package rather than having to look online (because my computer has to be off to put the chip in).

I didn't push the memory in hard enough the first time, so it didn't show up. I didn't realize you had to really, really push it in. Do that and you're golden!
