The old iMac had slowed significantly after installing Snow Leopard. The Genius suggested an upgrade to 4 GB by installing two 2 GB cards from Crucial.com. The Crucial software confirmed I was getting the right cards. These were surprisingly inexpensive and easy to install. Now the iMac flies and the spinning beach ball of death is a rare sight. I've already recommended Crucial to other iMac owners.

I'm no expert but when using iMovie or iDvd it was lagging a lot with just the stander 1gb stick. So I added 2gb to the extra slot and there is a noticeable improvement in both apps even when running them at the same time. It was very easy to install and I had no problems.

I held back on increasing the memory on my Imac out of concern that memory would be expensive and there would be an addition cost of installation.

I stumble across Crucial's website, and it seemed too good to be true - cheap and easy to self-install. I did a fair amount of research on the web about Crucial and all I read was good.

Still, I was nervous. Out of frustration that my Imac was so slow, I finally gave in and bought the memory from Crucial.

Needless to say, I was thrilled with the ease of installation and blown away by the increase performance of my Imac.

I had recently upgraded from Mac's Tiger OS to Snow Leopard. I would joke with friends that we were "limping" our OS, since it certainly wasn't going fast enough to be called "running." Having never installed memory before, I had this installed within about 3 minutes, and have had no problems at all since I put it in. My OS is now fabulously functional.

At first I thought I was having a problem with the new Crucial memory when my applications started freezing up. As it turns out, I just did not have it fully seated in the iMac slot. So, I took it out, switched sides, and pushed it in until it clicked.

Now my Mac is running great! As a graphic designer, I have multiple weighty applications opened all at once and need to go back and forth between them. Speed and performance are much better. And the price was more than reasonable. Thanks Crucial!

I've been running my 24" Dual Core iMac on 1Gb of memory for over a year now. Whenever I had more than one application open, performance became sluggish when switching applications. When developing software or working on photos, the machine was almost unusable.

I decided that enough was enough, and I maxed out the system with 4 Gb of ram (two 2Gb chips). I couldn't be more pleased with the performance and stability of my system now. If you have one of these computers you owe it to yourself to make it run the best it can. This is an inexpensive upgrade and worth every penny.

I occasionally do some ram-intensive stuff like video conversions and editing for presentations and have noticed a considerable improvement in these tasks after maxing out the ram for my PB and iMacs. The module has proven to be flawlessly effective. Between the Apple installation instructions and Crucial's help getting the old module out and the new one in was a breeze. The one major anxiety I had was not knowing which module to buy. Crucial solves the problem by having you download a small program which interrogates your system and presents you with the options. From there it is just click and go. Very, very easy.
